CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLANS

The balanced Fiscal Year 2020 budget supports $10.7 Million in capital improvement projects. The last time the City of Brownsville supported a CIP project of this magnitude was from 2002-2009, so our streets are getting quite a renovation in the years to come! The streets below have been selected for the CIP Street Improvement Program and will be reconstructed.

The Public Works Department has completed Palm Blvd from Elizabeth to Fronton St. as scheduled. In addition, we have completed Chaparral St. and Woodruff Ave. from Los Ebanos to Stanford, which were both scheduled for completion in the year 2021. Projects marked IN PROGRESS are in the design phase then will be followed by the procurement and construction phases.
